Summer is quickly approaching

Summer is quickly approaching, but first announcements:

The next Life Night is Sunday, April 11th – Can It! And, then we only have MORE Life Night after that – Sunday, May 2nd. There are NO MORE AD Life Nights for this year.

Disciples and Apostles letters for 2010-2011 will go out after Easter.

Upcoming Events:

Spring Break at 6 Flags (Tues, April 6 ~ 9a-7p)…as of right now, I only have my van available, with 4 seatbelts left. I am in need of drivers, must be over the age of 23 and have a good driving record. Flyer and forms here.

Spring Break Movie Day is Wed, April 7th from 11 a – 7p ~ $12 (lunch and dinner). I am taking movie suggestions through Easter.

Parish Mission is Monday-Wednesday, April 12-14th. That means we are offering Parents’ Night Out (7p-9p in the Nursery) to parishioners so that they can attend. This is a Life Teen fundraiser, and will be open to anyone attending our summer events (not including the mission trip) who needs to fundraise so they can attend Sonfest, Steubenville Atlanta, or Camping/Rafting. We can only have up to 6 teens per night. First come, first serve.

JFF Lock-In at Stars n Strikes on April 23rd. $28. Join other parishes including St Catherine of Siena and St Vincent de Paul for a night filled with fun. Flyer and forms here.

Sonfest: $430. Mon, June 7 thru Fri, June 11 in Panama City Beach, Florida. Archdiocese of Atlanta Beach Retreat. This year, we’re attending. And, this year, trust me, someone special is going to make their debut as Emcee – Cassie Tavarez, your assistant Youth Minister! Someone you know and love! $100 deposit is due Sunday, April 18th. Mass, Adoration, wicked cool sessions, small group with ppl from all over Atlanta, great food, beach activities, etc! Only 16 spots available. CORE attending: Deepa, Cassie, and John. Steubenville Atlanta: $230. Fri, July 16 to Sun, July 18th in Duluth, GA. This conference is put on by Franciscan University and Life Teen. Its an amazing Retreat that is unlike any other event ever attended. No, not even Girls/Guys retreat can compare! Its just that good! Speakers/Entertainment include: Matt Maher, Mark Hart, Paul George, Fr. Tim Hepburn, Fr. Dan Beeman, etc. $80 deposit is due by Sunday, May 2nd. 18 spots available. Camping/Rafting Trip: $80. Thurs, July 1 to Mon, July 5th in the mountains of North GA. Rafting, Camping, Messy Game afternoon, etc. If there are any parents who would love to come along, call me. 15 spots available. Flyer and forms here.
