Will You Say Yes?

There is a single mother, Maria* (*names has been changed to protect privacy), in our parish with children, one of whom has autism, who has to come to me asking for help.  She would like to spend time alone with her daughter (movies, shopping, dinner), but is unable to do so with Jose* .


Are there any teens who want to volunteer their time to provide respite care for Jose* so that Maria* can spend time with her daughter once a month for a couple of hours?  Respite Care is short term care that helps a family take a break from the daily routine and stress.


Please call Deepa in the Life Teen office if you are interested, and she will pass along your information to the mother who will in turn call you.  Bi-lingual is a plus.
