May 8th Liturgy 101


Sitting is the posture of listening and meditation, so the parishioners sit for the Mass readings before the Gospel and for the homily.  And parishioners may also sit for the period of meditation following Communion.  All should strive to assume a seated posture during Mass that is attentive rather than merely at rest.
