1st year of Confirmation preparation - meeting for parents and teens

Teens who are freshmen, sophomores, or juniors and have not yet received the Sacrament of Confirmation; St Thomas the Apostle offers a 2-year program designed to prepare them for the sacrament of Confirmation.

The first year of our Confirmation preparation, the teens are considered Disciples, and the second year, the teens are Apostles. The teen’s Confirmation preparation includes fulfilling weekly Mass obligations, attending the Sunday AD Nights (Life Teen), participating in Tuesday Confirmation classes, completing a certain number of Service Project Hours, and participating in a yearly Confirmation retreat.

The Archdiocese of Atlanta requirements for those receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation states that each teen must have:
• two years of satisfactory attendance within a religious education program prior to Confirmation preparation
• their Confirmation preparation must be a free-standing program outside of their required religious education program (Life Teen)
